I was working from home because we were in the very early stages of #operationCovid19.  In all honesty, I was approaching the final days leading up to the resignation from my position as a Compensation Director and Adjunct Instructor.  I had finally decided to step out on faith into the world of full-time entrepreneurship.  However, when the epidemic escalated--I panicked and tried to retract my resignation, lol!  My manager professionally declined, but it came as no surprise and I did not want to really extend my employment.  

 That’s when it dawned on me. This was NOT an option, it was a calling.  An unshakable feeling down to the very last cell in my body that I had to share my passion for empowering others by way of beauty and wellness with the world. I had no idea, in that moment, that my life would change forever. Or even more shockingly, just how much it would change…

 I began taking advantage of every free webinar, class, virtual event that I could possibly sign up for.  It was so bad that I would be on 3-4 webinars at one time! Simple insane, right!?  I was pressed to make the best out of this horrible situation.  It was imperative that I came out on the other side better than before we went on lock down.  Now don’t get me wrong, I have accomplished quite a bit, but I am Zoom’d out, you hear me!?  I had reached a point of burn out and started backsliding.  My thoughts were starting to get the best of me.

 So I took a step back to be current with my family and help my brats with their virtual learning plan that was not thought out very well.  By day two, I was extremely grateful for all the teachers in the world because they had a gift that I did not possess…..patience.  Yes, I am an instructor, but this homeschooling is a different beast.  I slowly started to feel myself drowning within my home.  I was in need of instant positivity!!  Hmmm…..what could I do besides pray?  I could always drown myself in retail therapy, but that would be counter-productive.  Those sale emails were calling all of my plastic cards, but I grabbed a book instead. 

 I absolutely LOVE books and hoard them by the piles, but my spirit led me to The Magic by Rhonda Byrne.  This book has changed my life indefinitely.  It teaches you the importance of gratitude.  In this moment more than ever, I am grateful to have the opportunity to inspire others to take better care of their skin--our #1 organ.  There are a plethora of advertisements for skincare and beauty products, but they fail to do one important thing--EDUCATE. 

 Being in solitude can make or break you.  We can either create good habits or indulge in bad habits.  Beautiful skin comes from commitment and I am committed to teaching you the basics of skincare and clean beauty.  Once you have a good understanding of how to care for your skin, makeup will add the icing to the cake if you so choose, but it will not be required.  For my men, it’s extremely important that you nurture the skin under your facial hair to avoid those bumps that you wish people would stop staring at.
